Arriving by air 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Visitors to Hong Kong are served by the Hong Kong International Airport location in Chek Lap Kok on Lantau Island. The airport is well connected to the downtown of Hong Kong by public transportation including: 

 

 

Airport Express - The easiest and fastest way to the city. The journey only takes 24 minutes. 

Airport Bus - Airport buses provide a convenient but relatively inexpensive transport option. 

 

Taxi - Taxi fare for a journey from the airport to major parts of the city ranges from HK$200-HK$400. 

 

Arriving from Mainland China or Macau by surface transportation

 

 

Arriving by coach: Cross-border coach is a popular choice among visitors from Mainland China and Macau. The five major border-crossing points are Shenzhen Bay Port, Lok Ma Chau, Man Kam To, Sha Tau Kok and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. 

Arriving by ferry: Hong Kong is linked to various major ports in Mainland China by high-speed ferries.

 

 

Arriving by train: High-speed train and intercity train are a reliable means of transportation into Hong Kong.
